William Thomas Reed Atkinson 1892 £POA
William Atkinson is one of the most refined makers of the early part of the twentieth century in England and unlike a lot of his professional rivals, he made every part of his instrument down to hand made purfling.
The violin has a small wing repair that has no affect on the sound. The tone for which has been described as being quite remarkable compared to other makers.
The tone of this violin is great having been made from the best tone woods. This violin is one of the easiest violins to play, a fine action and very responsive with little or no effort needed to make this violin speak. It will project well in any setting with a evenness across all strings with a silky smooth tone.
